WCA OFFICIAL COMPETITION DATA

Research question

Can public WCA data show speedcubing performance by age?

This page uses the official WCA V2 results export and never mixes official competition results with SupaKewber practice solves.

Required source attribution

This information is based on competition results owned and maintained by the World Cube Assocation, published at https://worldcubeassociation.org/results as of August 3, 2026.

Reproducible aggregate table

The small public file is generated from the large WCA V2 TSV export; the source archive itself is not republished here.

Definition

What this measures

The page documents why this analysis is not computed from the public export: dates of birth are deliberately excluded.

Methodology

How it is calculated

SupaKewber will not infer ages from debut year, scrape birth dates or silently substitute experience for age.

Inclusion rules

What enters the analysis

  • Official event-333 competition records from the WCA results export.
  • Positive results meeting the page-specific definition.

Exclusion rules

What stays out

  • SupaKewber practice solves and unofficial results.
  • DNF, DNS, zero or methodologically ineligible records.

Interpretation limit

Keep the result attached to its definition

undefined

The export’s version and publication date are stored with every derived JSON file, allowing the analysis to be reproduced or refreshed without silently changing sources.

Source separation

Official competition results remain distinct.

WCA-derived pages carry a visible official-data label and required attribution. SupaKewber benchmarks use a separate first-party pipeline and never claim official status.
