Bluetooth smart-cube hub

Choose and use a smart cube for browser-based speedcubing

Smart cubes report turns over Bluetooth, allowing a compatible browser to mirror the cube state, time solves automatically and analyse stages. SupaKewber currently specializes in supported GAN protocols.

Direct answer

What is a smart cube useful for?

A smart cube adds a live move stream to ordinary 3×3 practice. That stream can verify the scramble, start and stop timing from the cube, reconstruct the solve, detect CFOP milestones and show progress during online races. It does not replace tactile preferences, but it makes the solve measurable.

Complete guide

Understand it, use it and measure it

01

What to know about the Bluetooth smart cube

A smart cube contains sensors and a Bluetooth radio that report face turns to a connected app or website. The physical puzzle still determines feel, stability and turning performance; the electronics add state awareness and timing data.

For SupaKewber, the best fit is a supported GAN model used with a browser that exposes Web Bluetooth. Choose among the iCarry family, GAN 356i generations and GAN 12 ui according to budget, battery preference and hardware feel.

02

Connecting the Bluetooth smart cube in a browser

Wake the cube, close CubeStation and other smart-cube clients, then press Connect Cube inside SupaKewber. The browser shows a permission chooser because websites cannot silently scan nearby Bluetooth devices.

Once the encrypted GAN protocol is initialized, live turns update the virtual cube. A generated scramble can then be checked against the tracked state before the first solve move starts timing.

03

What SupaKewber can measure

The first turn after a completed scramble starts timing. Cross, F2L and OLL completion are detected from cube state, and the fully solved state marks PLL completion and stops the result.

Across a session, these timestamps become individual stage durations and percentages. Move count and replay information may also be available depending on the protocol and solve mode.

04

Ownership and troubleshooting notes

Electronics add charging or battery replacement, firmware behavior and Bluetooth troubleshooting to normal cube maintenance. Keep the cube awake and sufficiently powered before a session, and avoid leaving another app connected.

A failed connection is often a browser or Bluetooth-client conflict rather than a broken cube. Check browser support, nearby-device permission, competing tabs, distance and battery before resetting pairings.

Quick answers

Frequently asked questions

Does SupaKewber support every smart-cube brand?

No. The current focus is GAN Bluetooth protocols and related compatible models.

Do smart cubes feel like competition cubes?

Many are designed as speedcubes, but electronics, weight and model generation affect feel.

Can a smart cube measure CFOP stages?

Yes when its move stream is connected and the solve follows recognizable Cross, F2L, OLL and PLL states.

Can I use the cube without its official app?

Supported GAN models can connect directly to SupaKewber through Web Bluetooth.
