Connect a GAN smart cube in five reliable steps

Most connection failures come from browser support, a sleeping cube or another app already holding Bluetooth. This sequence removes those variables before SupaKewber requests the cube.

Direct answer

How do I connect a GAN smart cube to SupaKewber?

Use a compatible Chrome or Edge browser, enable Bluetooth, close CubeStation and every other smart-cube tab, twist the cube awake, then press Connect Cube inside SupaKewber. Select the GAN-named device from the browser chooser and verify one live turn before scrambling.

Step by step

Follow this sequence

  1. 01

    Choose a supported browser

Use current Chrome or Edge on Windows or macOS, Chrome on ChromeOS, or Chrome on Android. Open the live HTTPS SupaKewber site.

  2. 02

    Close competing connections

Quit CubeStation and close other tabs or timers that may already be using the cube.

  3. 03

    Wake the cube

Give the cube several turns immediately before connecting so it is advertising and does not return to sleep.

  4. 04

    Press Connect Cube

Open the Smart Cube timer, press Connect Cube and choose the GAN-named device in the browser permission window.

  5. 05

    Verify before scrambling

Turn one face and confirm the on-screen cube follows. Return both cubes to solved before applying the generated scramble.

Complete guide

Understand it, use it and measure it

01

Before you start

Confirm the computer or phone has a functioning Bluetooth Low Energy adapter and that Bluetooth is enabled. A normal Bluetooth headset working does not automatically prove the browser exposes Web Bluetooth, so check the browser support guide if the Connect Cube control reports an unsupported platform.

Know the model if possible. SupaKewber selects among GAN Gen1, Gen2, Gen3 and Gen4 service families after the chooser returns the device. Model and firmware differences affect the handshake even though the visible connection button is the same.

02

Why this process works

Web Bluetooth requires a secure page and a user gesture before showing nearby devices. That is why SupaKewber cannot silently reconnect to an unknown cube on page load and why the permission chooser must follow your click.

Closing other clients matters because many smart cubes maintain one active GATT connection. If CubeStation is connected, the browser may still show the device but fail while discovering services or starting notifications.

03

How to verify the result

A successful browser pairing is not enough on its own. The useful test is a live turn: rotate one face, confirm the 3D cube follows in the correct direction and check that subsequent moves continue to arrive.

Next, solve the physical cube and make sure the virtual state is also solved. Starting a tracked scramble from mismatched states produces incorrect validation and unreliable stage timing.

04

If it still does not work

If the chooser is empty, wake the cube again and move it closer. If selection succeeds but the handshake fails, close competing apps, toggle host Bluetooth and refresh SupaKewber before selecting the device again.

Only after the basic sequence fails should you remove saved operating-system pairings, restart the device or investigate firmware. The dedicated not-connecting guide separates chooser, GATT and move-stream failures.

Quick answers

Frequently asked questions

Do I install a browser extension?

No. SupaKewber uses the browser’s Web Bluetooth implementation directly.

Should CubeStation be open?

No. Close it before connecting so it does not hold the cube’s active Bluetooth link.

Why must the site use HTTPS?

Web Bluetooth is restricted to secure contexts for device-access security.

What confirms the connection is ready?

A physical face turn should immediately update the on-screen cube.

Practice with feedback

Turn the next solve into useful data.

SupaKewber connects timing, smart-cube telemetry, training and online competition in one browser workflow.
