Ua-perm keeps all corners solved and cycles three last-layer edges. It is an essential two-look PLL case and a good place to compare RU and M-slice execution styles.

Recognition
All corner pairs are solved. Find the solved edge bar and determine whether the other three edges must cycle clockwise to reach their centers.
Use color order around the side centers to determine cycle direction. This prevents guessing Ua versus Ub from a memorized arrow.
When the solved bar is at the back, the primary algorithm can often begin immediately. Confirm the three front edges cycle in the Ua direction.
Read the opposite side colors and check that corners remain solved. A corner mismatch means the case is not a U perm.
